4th street has a fierce brunch scene. However you like your eggs you’ll find them in Mission.
While you may know Anejo best for it’s booze bully’s and table side guacamole they also serve up a wicked brunch. Try the Hash Mexicano- hash browns, tomato sauce, bell peppers, braised short rib and fried eggs covered in hollandaise. Order it with a Cesar Diablo and you’ve found the cure to all problems.
Brunch is served until 2 and happy hour starts at 3 so feel free to sleep in for this one.
Bistro 2210 is French comfort food with locally sourced ingredients. This sophisticated french bistro in Mission is perfect for a classy weekend brunch. Try the Montreal Benedict with smoked salmon!
Located in the heart of Mission, you’ll feel like you’re in Paris! This French bakery is serving up delicious treats from sweet and savory crepes to perfect pastries, crafted sandwiches and fresh thin crust pizza. Grab and go or sit and relax with a strong cup of cafe.
Mission Diner is a 4th street staple-finally back from the flood. Casual and cool, the Mission diner has delicious build your own omelettes with unlimited toppings to ensure everyone is happy! Must try a signature bacon caesar and maybe an order of french toast for the table to share?
The Perk is always perk-ulating (we love puns…). You can show up in your lulu’s and a hat and chill out with your date or come solo to put in a work session. You can often find me here with headphones on and an entourage of baked goods. Home of the 8.95 breakfast you can also enjoy anything from fresh baked goods, paninis, or eggs benny. The flapjacks and french toast are totally to die for! Make sure someone orders the hashbrowns. Roasted potatoes tossed in a little BBQ sauce-straight awesome.
The only thing I would change about Red’s is making it bigger! You’re guaranteed to wait for a table if you get there past 9:30 but it is worth the wait! They will serve you a coffee at the door and you can swap stories about your hot date night (or maybe you’re still on your date). They make a mean eggs Benedict and their pancakes are light and fluffy! If you are after a lighter breakfast they also are very accommodating with egg white substitues, side grapefruit and my favorite-warm red quinoa with maple pumpkin seeds!
WURST’s brunch is served until 4pm weekends giving you lots of time to recover from the table dancing in their basement the night before. Enjoy one of their delicious bennies or head right into the Dom burger, served on a sesame brioche bun- tasty! Sunday turns into a Sunday Funday pretty quickly here-cancel your plans and order a boot!
