Your Dashboard

Welcome!

Your dashboard allows you to easily manage your venue listings, events, and experiences on the fly like tracking your commissions, updating your profile, managing your image gallery, and watching orders come in.

Dashboard: Displays a sales summary to help you manage your events and experiences. You can leave your dashboard at any time by clicking on “Date Night” on the top left of your screen.

 

Orders: Allows you to track each event or experience in detail, including who purchased it, when it was purchased and the status of your commission.

 

Reports: A detailed performance graph of your listings. You can view reports based on date, or specific products.

 

Media: This is your image library where you can upload and manage your own pictures.

 

Products: This is where you create your experiences which will be visible in the Experience Marketplace.

 

Store Settings: Maintain important payment information using Vendor Email and PayPal Email. In order to be receive the commission on your experiences, you need to have a PayPal account. Remember to enter the email associated to your Paypal account in the provided field.

Profile: Your user profile where you can manage your name, email and password.

EVENT vs EXPERIENCE

 

Sooo… what is the difference between an Event and an Experience? Think of a date night you can’t just drop in for – like getting your hands dirty making each other dinner in a real chef’s kitchen, building a terrarium, putting paint on a canvas, mountain adventures, make your own gelato academy, cocktail making 101 and many many more. Experiences contain an engaging sequence of events that results in an interactive connection with your offering or brand. 

An event can be viewed as an experience however there is a slight difference. The intention of an event may not involve your guest to interact with any part of the event. Example a concert, a live performance where there is a separation of the audience and performer, a movie date, a sit down dinner, a party, a marathon race…etc. Think about how is your guest engaged to interact with your brand and you’ll begin to see there are differences between these two terms.

Host an Experience

 

To design an experience, click on Products -> Add New. Some fields such as Product Name, Description, Short Description and Product Image are fairly straight forward. For the remaining fields, just follow these easy steps:

Product Data

Select “Simple Product” option from drop down

Select “Downloadable” & “Has Voucher” options. Maybe you’ve created your own ticket / voucher(s) that you want to sell. Whether you’re selling Paint Night tickets or a Spa service, selecting these options will create a redeemable voucher with a unique ID # for your guest for easy tracking.  Make sure to choose the “DateNight Voucher” under Voucher Templates.

Product Categories

Make sure to select “Experiences” so that your experience is visible and searchable in our Experience Marketplace!

Product Tags

Choose a few tags that best describe your Experience in 1 word. Choose from popular tags, or create your own.

Submit for review

Once you’re done designing your experience, click the blue Submit for review button. If the experience meets our quality standards our team will notify you with next steps and your new Experience will be searchable in Experience Marketplace.

PRO-TIPS

To create the biggest impact with your listing we’re sharing you our tips that speak best to our audience.
1. Use photos that speak to the experience avoid posters type graphics
2. Images must be hi resolution ( we have an in-house photorgrapher to help showcase your venue)

3. Upload a minimum of 3 images to avoid customizing photo images for your listing gallery. Otherwise your photos will automatically stretch out and you will have to design the photos to fit the built in gallery.

4. Make sure to include City, Province in location field. This will automatically populate our google maps integration plugin with the correct latitude/longitude avoiding your listing showing up in the middle of the ocean.

5. Keep your listing description concise and that speaks to why you are amazing.

6. Choosing categories. It’s not about the quantity it’s about the quality. Choose categories that make the most sense. We can’t control what people will use to find you – use what speaks authentically to the experience you offer and you’ll find more people coming to see you even it means you only selected 3 categories.

Creating a Venue or Event Listing

Create a detailed profile or event listing using the following steps. To create your listing simply go to the front-end of the website, hover over your account -> Add Listing. Or simply click HERE.

Manage Your Events & Experiences Through Your Listing

Link your unique experiences and events to your venue listing. Go to My Account -> Your Listings, and select Edit. You will see a new field at the bottom of your listing that says “Select Your Product to Link to Your Listing.” Select your experience or event and save the changes. That’s it!
