An exciting and challenging position exists as a part-time Operations Event Manager at Date Night. We are looking for an experienced self starter who is creative, highly organized, detail oriented and customer experience focused.
Start Date: immediately
Working closely with the Chief Operations Officer, the Events and Community Engagement Manager leads the development and management of events.
Job details:
- Part-time with an opportunity to grow to full-time after 90 days

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop event procedures and manuals for training and onboarding purposes
- Providing solutions and recommendations to uphold customer service levels, quality and productivity
- Acts as interface between events and sales team to deliver on partnerships
- Stays up to date with industry standards and developments; seeks opportunities to develop self and team
- Works with peers
- Builds systems and processes for event management
- Communicate changes in procedures to team
- Anticipates operational trends and implements necessary changes quickly
- Interacts with team and customer to de-escalate issues and provide solutions
- Works with Operational Finance Specialist to document and develop reconciliation and budget/billing management processes
- Reports on regional success and overall events quality monthly
- Develops a scaling strategy for Couples Retreats
- Protects department revenue and acts to control costs where possible
- Develops regional event metrics and holds team accountable
- Responsible for crisis management, plans, and tools for the events team
- A key player in the ideation of new events and experiences as well as the continual growth and improvement of existing experiences and events
- Develops, executes and monitors quality survey linked to the department and developed a continuous improvement program based on results
People Management:
- Develops an empowering, accountable and engaging team culture with positive reinforcement, reward and recognition principles
- Focuses on team development by ensuring each member has a development plan and addresses gaps in knowledge or experience
- Setting performance expectations and providing training and skill development based on job function
- Schedules and hold regular team meetings and one-on-one meetings both virtually and in-person
- Manages deadlines and priorities of all direct reports
- Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- 5-7 years’ experience in hospitality management/ event management or related field
- Able to independently develop processes/metrics/standards
- Ability to develop reporting data and using it to create greater efficiencies and seamless workflow.
