Embrace your nerdy side together and have fun trying something new. You may even learn something.
If you’re bored of the dinner date and looking to try something new with your date, you’ll want to check out Alberta Theatre Projects (ATP). Their theatre, the Martha Cohen Theatre, is warm and intimate and features shows that are funny, thought provoking, or both. The lobby features a bar and is a great spot for conversation before the show. There are nights where pizza and a talk are included in the show ticket, but on other nights, you’ll be in a great location close to tons of bars and restaurants to continue the conversation.
Telus Spark centre hosts adult nights once every month, complete with two bars, and adult themes. Explore the centre and play together, while learning a little and mostly having so much fun being big kids together.
If you haven’t been to the Glenbow lately, it’s time to check it out. They’ve got exhibitions for whatever you’re into. The entrance fee is cheaper than you think and well worth the visit (admission is free on the first Thursday of every month from 5 pm – 9 pm). Get your culture on and see some art this weekend.
Is there anything more romantic than gazing up at the stars with your date? The observatory lets you do just that with scheduled times when you and your date can get an up-close-and-personal look at those beauties.
