The Ladybug Bakery believes in family traditions and homemade products, created with fresh and healthy ingredients. Their Master Baker, Yves Ghesquiere and his wife Marie, pour their hearts and souls into their work and into a great product for their customers.
The family history of baking stretches back to the 1792 opening of Petrus Ghesquiere’s bakery in Brussels, Belgium. The family passed it’s baking tradition from father to son, until the discovery during the second World War of how to create great bread without the use of yeast. Their extended rising period allows the taste of their organic flours natural minerals to shine through, without the interference of foreign flavours. They now carry on this practice in many of their original recipe breads.
Hey I’m Kelsey and I am a content writer, contributor and website editor for Date Night. When I’m not busy writing about our city, you can find me hanging out in a coffee shop, finding the newest hot yoga studio or hittin’ the road to explore the mountains. When I do actually have to work, I provide online services to small businesses as an independent Marketing & Communications Contractor, such as writing, editing, and digital marketing. Writing is my passion, so I seek out jobs that allow me to express my creative writing side.
