Gather friends, dress up and celebrate summer with a gorgeous long table dinner presented by It’s Date Night at the George C. King Bridge connecting East Village to the lush St. Patrick's Island.
With beautiful views of the downtown cityscape, the mountains, landmarks and open sky, this lush, long table dinner features a delightful menu crafted by dynamic food truck and chef collaborations.
The intention of the long table dinner is to create a one of a kind experience that is both elegant and unique, challenging street food culture to experiment with fine dining - combining the skills of a top chef from one of Calgary’s best restaurants with one of Calgary’s tastiest food trucks. The event will take place along the St. Patrick’s Bridge ( George C. King Bridge ) with a 100 seat long table. The experience will begin with a welcome reception and standing happy hour at 6pm along Riverwalk Plaza. There will be live entertainment with an acoustic artist, a three piece band and solo musicians performing throughout the dinner. We will have five food trucks providing service in a five course style dinner and each truck will be paired with an executive chef in Calgary showcasing their culinary skills elevating the food truck experience and adding a ‘Top Chef’ appeal. Each truck and chef duo will serve one of the five courses, with pairings, starting with a canape during the standing reception at 6pm ending at dusk, taking in the beautiful sunset along the Bow River - think warm summer nights with sultry musical pairings and a delightful menu.
All linens will be provided by CMNGD, a local linen company providing transitional employment to people facing poverty.
