This two-day workshop will take you from a cook to a chef under the guidance of veteran French chef instructor Thierry Meret.
Get ready to sharpen your skills as this class, filled with exciting preparations and techniques, will explore the fundamentals of great cooking with inspiring dishes that will bring a “Je ne sais quoi” in your own kitchen.
You will learn some great knife skills as well as making sauces, cooking grains and legumes, cleaning fish and shellfish, portioning meats, recognizing muscle group and learning about their appropriate cooking techniques, making ice cream, some simple and elegant dessert, learning about wine and cheese pairing, cooking locally grown vegetables, learning the secret of using spices and more. This two day workshop will also cover some important food safety principles.
Please feel free to bring your own knife to use and sharpen.
