Circle the Wagons

"Calgary Circles the Wagons like no other; our gathering of efforts during the floods has proven this to be true. We are looking forward to building this annual celebration with the whole city" - Jim Button - Village Brewery

From the imaginations of BassBus, YYCFoodTrucks & Village Brewery, a travelling carnival of local food, beer, music, art and performers will come together for a celebration unlike any other.

This family friendly event will be held at South Calgary Park surrounding and including the Marda Loop Community Hall on Saturday, September 20th 2014 from 11am-10pm. Enjoy a refreshing beverage on the Village Brewery Beach, dine at one of 20+ local food vendors on YYCFoodTrucks Alley, shop at the Market Collective Flea Market and Vintage Sale, enjoy the sounds of Calgary’s greatest local musicians on the BassBus stage, and be a part of the circus for a day. This event is a showcase of the amazing vitality food, music and community have brought to our city, and an opportunity for the public to experience all of this in one setting.

Giving Back to the Community

Our communal mission with Circle The Wagons is to curate an annual event that has tangible results in our community. A portion of proceeds will be used to build new parks, playgrounds, and assist in anyway possible to give back in a unique way that can be shared by many. This is our way of bringing so many things that make Calgary great together for everyone to enjoy. Each year this travelling carnival will be held in a different community in Calgary. This year we are proud to be working with The Marda Loop Community Association.

As a conscious effort towards our environmental responsibility, we are teaming up with Green Event Services to make this a “Zero Waste” event. All food trucks will be serving their food on products that are recyclable, reusable and compostable. Green Event Services will have their staff on-site helping ensure patrons are educated on which bins their materials go into. Water bottles will not be available for sale on site; instead, a water hydration station will be available for patrons to fill up their water bottles for free.
