 There may be 50, but they say you'll never forget your First.

#50DaysYYC Fresh out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Ruben Young has walked in shoes few people have - let alone most at 22 years young.  Making his move into the ‘music world’ in a BIG way, his inaugural campaign, set to launch July 19th 2014 introduces this crowd provoking, shiver yielding soul singing/songwriting artist’s talent and passions to his hometown and beyond for 50 straight days of “music and memories”.

’50 Days of Summer’, focuses on Ruben’s vision to create lasting-infectious experiences through collaborations with thriving local businesses and artists. A student of the art from the lyrics of Springsteen to the soul of Raphael Saadiq, the Calgary kid “walking to school listening to Luther Vandross and Talib Kweli on his skipping discman”, bears a musical identity a far cry from the conventions of Calgary performing history. His 50 day campaign consists of experienced from pop up shows, to planned ‘crowd spectacles’, to an engaging weekly Youtube campaign.

Ruben plans to release a collection of music that will not only deliver his reputably raspy tone, but a brand to emulate the charismatic and engaging personality that has lead him to an impressive eclectic of successful ventures for a 22 year old; living far beyond his years. From Calgary to the rest of the world, Ruben plans to show how his journey from a young appearance in Canadian Idol 2008’s top 50 at 16 years old, to the only ‘Western’ finalist in Prague, Czech Republic’s notable VSE Hleda Talent competition, to front-manning sold out shows across Calgary, Ruben’s vision for success has been as contagious as his ear-to-ear smile on stage.
