Kids Program

A hands-on approach that is fun, interesting and delicious for some of the younger chefs in the family.  Kids programs are available for ages 8-14 years of age, and length of the workshop may vary depending on the day and time of the year.

Class format: hands-on
Class length: varies, see listings below

This is a week long full day camp that will nurture every kid's inner chef. A fun, active, hands-on environment with cooking activities that focus on natural ingredients.

The camp is a full day (9am-3:30pm).

Each day your child will be making their own meals and snacks, guided through several recipes, working at their own cooking station along side the other students. They will be watching demonstrations of cooking techniques, and then re-creating them at their own station.

Some recipes are made in groups (ice cream, pizza dough), but for the most part they will have input into customizing their own final product. Cuisine et Chateau has an emphasis on healthy options, and using lots of vegetables  to create good flavours

Safety in the kitchen is very important, and your child will learn how to properly handle knives, use induction cooktops to sauté veggies, and clean their station to ensure food safety at all times.

Each afternoon will include an outdoor break to Riley Park, the outdoor pool, or a community garden - all walking distance from the Culinary Centre.

All snacks and meals are provided, and allergies and dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Suitable for kids 8-13 yrs old.

Closed toe shoes only. Please notify Cuisine et Chateau in advance of all allergies and dietary restrictions.
