1. Blow Wind High Water
September 5th - 30th at Various Times
Theatre Calgary, 220 9 Ave SE

Come celebrate Theatre Calgary’s 50th season with the debut of a new play written by one of Canada’s greatest playwrights. Based in Calgary, a raging flood threatens three generations of Calgarians as they struggle to come together to keep from going under. With a surging river and an aged patriarch trapped in time, the family attempts to create a legacy worth inheriting by future generations.


2. The Market on Stephen Ave
September 5th from 11am - 5pm
100-200 Blocks, 8 Ave SW

Enjoy The Market on Stephen Ave one last time before summer ends. Check out fresh foods, spices, baked goods, arts, fashion and more all locally made in our YYC Community. You can find them along the 100 - 200 block in front of the Hyatt and Saltlik. See you on the “Walk.”


3. Grand Opening Riddell Library and Learning Centre
September 7th from 9am - 5pm
Mount Royal University, 4825 Mount Royal Gate SW

See the space where the students of MRU will be spending their days and nights studying. Open to the public, you are welcome to take self-guided tours of the incredible space, meet members of the MRU community, hear speakers and a free food truck lunch for the first 1,500 through the doors! Did we mention FREE FOOD? Get there quick.


4. East Village Junction
September 7th - 10th from 12pm - 6pm
Mount Royal University, 4825 Mount Royal Gate SW

East Village Junction - EV's liveliest lot - is an innovative shipping container shopping hub that's part outdoor retail hive, part event spot, and really big part community gathering space. 5. Inglewood Night Market
September 8th from 5pm - 10pm

Catch the Inglewood Night Market finale on September 8th. This modern day market hosts over 50 local vendors selling diverse goods from handmade craftsmen items to vintage clothing, antiques and collectibles, artisan eats and more. There will also be food trucks, live music, and interactive activities on site.
