Welcome to the neighbourhood, Cardinale.
Calgary’s newest Italian restaurant just opened up in Victoria Park and we can’t stop talking about it. Where La Vita é Bella used to be in the historic Dafoe Building, Cardinale has moved in with a fresh new menu that will have your mouth watering in no time. The cozy feel of the restaurant space is complemented with a modern take on the traditional Italian dishes that make up the noteworthy menu. Now open, make sure you reserve your table to make sure you get a taste of the Italian joint that has everyone talking.
In case you need a little more convincing, here are four reasons you need to check out Cardinale (we don’t apologize for the instant hunger you may experience):
- Thirst quenching cocktails like SISTER MIDNIGHT. Carefully crafted, the delicious cocktail mixes Plantation Pineapple Rum, Varnelli L’Anice Secco, lime, simple syrup, and pineapple anise bitters. When you sip it, you’ll almost feel like you’re on a beach. The rest of the cocktails sound equally enticing, it’ll be hard to choose which one to try next.
- Classic POLPETTE to get your meal started. These brisket and short rib meatballs are made from scratch with love, covered in Sunday gravy and parmesan. This is a perfect dish to share with your table while you catch up and sip on your drinks.
- You can’t go wrong with GNOCCHI, especially when you try Cardinale’s take on it. Topped with spicy fennel chicken sausage, Tuscan kale, cannellini beans and parmesan, you’ll be licking the plate before you know it.
- Finish your evening off with RICOTTA AL CAFFE. This dessert is made with all the right Italian flavours - espresso, sweet ricotta, amaretti cookies, lucano caffe and of course, whipped cream. You can ask for extra spoons to share, but if it were us we would be ordering one for ourselves.
Sound good? We thought so. Book your reservation now.
