Free concerts, scenic cruises, tea and garden parties, a historic dinner, and more. Here’s why you should visit Heritage Park this Summer.
1. Music in the Plaza
Wednesday evenings, July 5th - August 30th from 6pm - 8pm

Celebrate Canada’s 150th with Heritage Park. Every Wednesday evening in July and August, they’ll be hosting an all Canadian lineup of talent in the Heritage Town Square. The series will be free for guests and promises a diverse range of musical styles. This show goes rain or shine so grab your date and a blanket and get ready to enjoy two hours of live music from some of Canada’s best acts.
2. Captain’s Cruises
Thursday evenings, July 20th - August 31st from 6:15pm - 8:15pm

The wind in your hair, scenic views of the Rocky Mountains, and gourmet hors d’oeuvres, what could be better? This Summer, bring your bae to the water to set sail on Calgary’s only paddlewheel boat. Take in some majestic views all while enjoying tasty bites, sipping on some libations, and listening to a live jazz band.
3. Prince House Garden Party
July 27th at 6:15pm
Prince House Lawn
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Prince House at Heritage Park with an epic Garden Party Dinner. To start the night, you’ll be treated to tours of the Prince House, croquet on the front lawn, live music, hors d’oeuvres and sparkling wine. Once you’re settled in, indulge in a 3 course meal plus assorted passed canapes and wine pairings. Make sure to dress the part in Edwardian period attire to win some awesome prizes and bragging rights for best costume.
4. Tea on the Verandah
Saturdays & Sundays, June 3rd - September 4th
Heritage Park is debuting their newest exhibit, the Famous 5 Centre of Canadian Women, with tea on the verandah. Come soak in the sun on the porch of this stunning home as you sip some tea and dine on an assortment of freshly baked treats including finger sandwiches, french pastries, scones, and more.
5. Country Kickback
August 26 & 27 from 10am - 5pm
Experience the West on the farm during Country Kickback at Heritage Park. There will be interactive demonstrations, friendly farm critters from Butterfield Acres, a barn dance, and even a chance for you to learn how to churn butter and make ice cream (don’t worry fam, sampling is definitely encouraged). Giddy up, pardner.
6. Dining through History: A Progressive Dinner
August 31st at 5:15pm
Get a taste of history at Heritage Park’s progressive dinner. You and your date will be in for a culinary history lesson while you travel to different destinations within the Park throughout dinner. Expect charcuteries and cheese boards, cocktails, beef tenderloin, drink pairings, and more to be on the menu. Horse Drawn Wagon Rides will be your transportation for the evening.
