Are you in the know? Studio Bell, the home of The National Music Centre is launching a new nighttime music and exhibition series targeted towards music lovers over the age of 18. The official Studio Bell After Hours launch date is Friday, March 24 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Will you be joining? We're sure you will be after reading this post.
This won't be your typical night at the museum as they'll be dimming the lights, turning up the tunes and inviting you to explore five floors of exhibitions and interactives. Whether it’s a special night out or a pre-game with friends, Studio Bell After Hours is the newest addition to Calgary’s nightlife scene.
1. Pop-Up Bars and Bites
First and foremost, pop-up bars will be there to quench your thirst and get you ready for the weekend ahead. And if that wasn't enough to tide you over, there will also be delicious bites available. Heads up, this is cash only but don't fret, there are ATMs on site if you forget to bring cash.
2. Get all the views on the East Village Skybridge
Hang out in the chill-out lounge with your squad while gazing out towards the beautiful East Village views on the Skybridge.
3. Live DJs
To get those nightlife vibes flowing, there will be live DJs on set with selections from Overland (house, techno), Jamal (chill beats, hip hop), and electronic improv project P.E.C.O.
4. Massive Dance Party
Join the party in the second level performance hall and show off your moves with this massive dance party.
5. Instrument Interactives, Games, and Music Experiments in Soundbox
And last but not least, enjoy a night full of musical exploration through incredible instrument interactives, games and music experiments in Soundbox.
Tickets for Studio Bell After Hours are $18 and $14 for students (18+) and seniors. Visit studiobell.ca/whats-on for details on the entire night’s events and to purchase your tickets in advance.
Think ahead: The next two instalments of Studio Bell After Hours will be on Friday, April 21 and Friday, May 26.
