From the Bachelor Finale to Brexit, here's what everyone's talking about this week.
The Bachelor Finale
Everyone and their dog watched Nick Viall get engaged on The Bachelor Finale Monday night. Raven Gates was sent home with a broken heart, and Vanessa Grimaldi became the lucky lady to marry Nick Viali. The lucky lady graciously said yes after the gorgeous proposal in Finland where Nick got down on one knee and confessed his love for her with tears in his eyes. Aweeee. We can now move on to The Bachelorette where Rachel Lindsey will find true love. She met her contestants Monday night after the finale, and now we have to wait until May to start gossiping over wine with our girlfriends every Monday night.
The Flames are literally on fire, winning their 10th straight game against the Penguins on Monday night, 4-3 in overtime and people are noticing. Even though they have a busy game schedule, they need to keep up their training if they want to keep this streak going and get ready for the playoffs (which might be an option now), not to mention recovering properly to be ready for the next game. The San Jose Sharks most noticeably should be worried about the Flames moving up the ranks because they could be facing off in the first round of playoffs if the standings stay the same. The Flames are playing tonight against the Bruins.
If you keep hearing the words bracket and Blue Devil's, it's because March Madness is upon us. If you're looking at the classic bracket without any upsets people are putting their money on the Duke Blue Devil's and Villanova Wildcats to make it to the finals (or at least the Final Four). The three-week tournament starts officially on Thursday and will be scene live streaming from office desks across North America. Everyone has their fingers crossed that their bracket they picked for March Madness won't turn into March Sadness.
The Justice League star announced on Facebook that he has just recently completed a stint in rehab for alcohol. His alcohol addiction is "something I've dealt with in the past and will continue to confront." He publicly announced it because he wanted to show his kids that it's okay to seek help when you need it. Rehab was the first of many steps that he is taking towards recovery, and he thanked his estranged wife Jen Garner for the continued support.
Just when you thought it was over, Brexit is back in full force. Parliament passed the Brexit bill which means Prime Minister Theresa May can get the ball rolling on invoking Article 50, which formally gives the EU notice of the UK's intention to leave. Mrs. May has confirmed there are a number of processes that need to occur before Article 50 is put into motion at the end of March, including a tour of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in an attempt to build consensus.
